JOB DESCRIPTION
Our company is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge antenna prototypes and products. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for designing and testing power and control systems for antennas, both in terms of hardware and software. Your tasks will include printed circuit board design and layout, embedded firmware development using C, and the creation of test software using Python. As you progress in your role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the higher-level system design of active RF systems.

Required Education and Experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)
- Experience in designing and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
- Proficiency in microcontroller programming using C
- Ability to effectively use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to peers, management, and clients
- Keen interest in exploring and solving challenging problems
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment
- Resilient mindset and willingness to learn from failures
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with real-time operating systems for embedded systems
- Proficiency in digital design using Verilog and/or VHDL
- Knowledge of printed circuit board layout and assembly
- Competence in Python for automating test equipment and analyzing data
- Proven ability to contribute to multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Past experience with Altium Designer
- Familiarity with RF devices and test equipment
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment. You will be using standard office equipment like laptop computers and photocopiers, as well as specialized test equipment including vector network analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to talk or hear. Specific visual abilities such as close vision and the ability to adjust focus are necessary. Additionally, this role may require lifting lab equipment, accessing cabinets, and standing on a stool when needed. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. Typical office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, these hours may vary based on workload and the discretion of the manager. Occasionally, this job may require more than 40 hours per week to meet project demands.
Travel
Minimal travel (less than 10%) may be expected for this position.
