SENIOR LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – EMPLOYMENT & EDUCATION LAW

Our client, a reputable law firm in the Southeast with a strong national presence, is in search of a talented and driven Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Employment & Benefits Practice Group in Atlanta. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a collaborative and dynamic legal environment, working on complex litigation matters with a focus on employment and education law.
Candidate Profile:
- Hold a JD degree from a well-regarded law school with an excellent academic record.
- Active membership in the Georgia Bar.
- Bring 5–7 years of substantial experience in employment litigation or commercial litigation involving employment counseling.
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling cases related to constitutional claims, employment disputes, student matters, and contractual disputes.
- Possess a background in civil rights, disability rights, and compliance with federal and state education laws.
- Showcase exceptional skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
- Capable of independently managing depositions, court hearings, and client conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent various clients, including educational institutions, K-12 school districts, colleges, universities, private schools, and charter schools, in federal and state litigations.
- Provide guidance on compliance with employment and education laws, particularly in relation to civil rights and disability matters.
- Assist in all stages of litigation, ranging from legal research and case development to motions practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Develop strategic pleadings, briefs, and motions.
- Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and lead client meetings with professionalism and confidence.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and emerging legal trends that affect education and employment law.
