Our client is currently hiring for the position of Energy Market Analyst located in Houston, TX. As an Energy Market Analyst, your main responsibility will be to write, edit, and oversee the production of a weekly report focusing on asphalt pricing, market insights, and thorough analysis of related markets. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop new products and services and collaborate with industry leaders to introduce them to both new and existing services.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to analyze the supply, demand, and trade within the dynamic asphalt markets. To be considered for this position, you will need to have relevant experience and market knowledge in one of the following areas: Asphalt, Fuel Oil, Petroleum Coke, Base Oils, Refined Products, or Gasoline. Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of a weekly report on the asphalt market:
• Evaluate the prices, market conditions, and fundamentals of the North American asphalt market.
• Conduct research and compose articles on various topics related to asphalt, including market developments, global supply and demand fundamentals, and new projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain an accurate understanding of critical market and industry developments.
• Coordinate the production of final products with consulting, graphics, and production staff.
• Conduct meetings with clients, prospects, and market sources within the US and abroad to promote the company's products, services, and industry expertise.
• Collect information and establish additional sources of information.
• Develop an authoritative voice in reporting on the asphalt product line and represent the company at industry events and bilateral meetings.

Additional Duties

• Represent the company and present views at industry conferences and webinars.
• Contribute to the strategic vision and guidance of the asphalt subscription business.
• Collaborate in the development of new products and services and provide insights for short-term forecasts and analytical products.
• Work closely with the sales teams to achieve sales of editorial products and services.
• Arrange and participate in meetings with the sales team to boost product sales.
• Assist in drafting marketing copy to support the development of online and email marketing initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in energy journalism, the asphalt industry, market reporting, commodities, or commodity consulting.
• Must have relevant market experience in one of the following areas: Asphalt, Fuel Oil, Petroleum Coke, Base Oils, Refined Products, or Gasoline.
• Self-motivated individual capable of driving business progress, independently managing time, and prioritizing tasks.
• Familiarity with databases, data products, and basic analytics.
• Demonstrated desire to develop and maintain industry relationships to enhance brand awareness and increase market share.
