The Overnight Engineering Systems Technician will be a vital member of the Process team, resolving technical issues within the production areas. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor Production Technicians and drive continuous improvement. Working on a night shift (11pm - 11am, 3 days on and 3 days off), this role offers a competitive salary along with a 48% shift premium.
Responsibilities:
- Offer technical support and expertise to Production Technicians in resolving complex machine faults.
- Act as a process specialist for specific equipment and share knowledge with others.
- Mentor Production Technicians, helping them develop their fault diagnosis and technology utilization skills.
- Utilize technology, including PCs, HMI screens, and MES, for effective fault diagnosis and equipment management.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing equipment, focusing on cost reduction, productivity, quality, and health & safety.
- Support Project and Process Groups during the installation and startup of new equipment, contributing to continuous improvement programs.
- Lead small process improvement projects, coordinating relevant skills such as Toolroom, Quality, and Validation.
About You:
- Hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or possess equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate proven experience in a similar high-volume assembly and manufacturing role.
- Possess proficient IT skills for operating SAP systems, logging maintenance, ordering parts, and diagnosing faults using data.
- Show strong engineering aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Have a background in hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, electrical, and servo systems (highly desirable).
- Display excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and patience when mentoring and assisting less experienced colleagues.

- Hold a Level 3 Engineering Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Must be available for the night shift
