JOB TITLE: Junior Structural Engineer - Building Design
Our firm is actively seeking a talented, entry-level structural engineer with 0-2 years of experience. We are looking for a motivated individual who excels in a team environment and embraces professional growth. As an entry-level engineer, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of the building process, including design development and construction administration. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and prospects for future advancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct hand calculations based on engineering principles and building code requirements.
- Use various engineering software packages for computer-aided design.
- Assist in the preparation of project documents for client submissions.
- Attend on-site project meetings and inspections during the construction phase.
- Prepare comprehensive written reports for clients summarizing on-site observations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. Master's degree is preferred but not required.
- Holder of an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification.
- Relevant internships and experience with various building materials, including structural steel, mild concrete, post-tensioned concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Familiarity with computer analysis software such as Bentley Suite (RAM), Computers & Structures Suite (ETABS).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, well-organized, and capable of multitasking.
