ASSOCIATE – ENVIRONMENT, ENERGY & RESOURCES

Our client, a leading international law firm ranked among the top in the industry, is in search of a well-qualified and driven mid-level Associate to join their esteemed Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice group located in Anchorage, Alaska.

Desired Candidate:

• The ideal candidate must possess a JD from a highly-regarded law school with a commendable academic track record.
• Bar admission in Alaska is mandatory or the candidate must be capable of obtaining it.
• Relevant legal background spanning between 2 to 5 years in energy, environmental, or natural resources matters.
• Clerkship experience and/or proven interest in environmental law would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated proficiency in legal writing and previous involvement in law review/journal or a prior clerkship would be highly valued.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong collaborative attributes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Offer legal advice regarding intricate commercial issues, as well as natural resources and environmental matters to resource development firms.
• Collaborate closely with a diverse group of attorneys across the country within the firm's renowned Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice group.
• Represent clients in sophisticated legal cases at both the local and national levels.
