Environmental Engineer – division level
We are currently seeking candidates in the local Chicago area!
The Divisional Environmental Engineer role will be under the supervision of the Business Unit Environmental Manager. The position involves supporting multiple sites across the US, with occasional travel of up to 20% required. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in an industrial setting, such as general manufacturing, chemical or refinery, or as a consultant to industry. A Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (environmental, engineering, chemistry, etc.) is required.
The Divisional Environmental Engineer will be responsible for developing, planning, and efficiently coordinating activities related to air emissions, water use and discharges, waste material generation and disposal, and communication with regulatory agencies. The role also involves identifying, solving, or alleviating environmental issues at the facilities.
Successful candidates should have experience in applying for permits in air, water, and waste, as well as filling out EPA forms. They should also have experience researching regulations for projects, staying up to date on new regulations, and conducting audits.
