We are seeking an EH&S Manager to oversee the safety and health initiatives (80% safety & health/20% environmental) for three production plants in Tennessee and Kentucky. The largest plant, located in Nashville, will be your main focus. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will also directly supervise an EHS Generalist. A Bachelor of Science degree is required for this position.

• Minimum of five years of experience in industrial safety and environmental management within manufacturing operations
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team
• Strong working knowledge of environmental compliance regulations
• Bachelor of Science degree in safety or a related technical field
• Must be located in the Nashville area

In this position, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our safety culture and implementing programs such as ergonomics, machine guarding, and more. It will be essential to foster engagement and collaboration between manufacturing and plant leadership to drive continuous safety improvements. As an EH&S Manager, you will also introduce corporate programs and systems while providing strategic leadership by closely collaborating with our Corporate EHS team.

Other Skills: You should have a strong ability to mentor and coach EHS staff, unify and empower employees, and provide clear direction. An inspiring, energetic demeanor is essential, as well as the capacity to effectively manage relationships at all levels within the organization. It is crucial that you embrace and prioritize safety, rather than just preaching it. Additionally, you should be comfortable presenting to and meeting with executive leadership. A hands-on approach and the ability to drive change effectively are highly valued in this role.
