Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting inspections, implementing preventive measures, leading training initiatives, and investigating workplace accidents to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.

· Create and implement inspection policies, procedures, and schedules for routine inspections and environmental, health, and safety management systems.

· Develop health and safety procedures for all departments in the company.

· Organize and conduct training sessions on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.

· Ensure compliance with safety procedures by monitoring and enforcing them effectively.

· Create detailed inspection reports to document findings and recommendations.

· Maintain up-to-date material safety data sheets for easy accessibility.

· Keep records of hazardous waste discharge and employee exposure, as per regulatory requirements.

· Perform other assigned duties related to environmental health and safety.

Requirements:

· Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience.

· Preferably have 5+ years of related experience in the field.

· Possess strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.

· Demonstrate extensive understanding of environmental regulations and policies.

· Show exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Possess excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

· Be proficient in technology and equipment used during environmental inspections.
