3+ years of engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

Proven experience managing equipment installations, upgrades, or reliability projects

Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools) and Microsoft Office Suite

Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles

Ability to travel ~10%, with flexibility during project execution phases

What You’ll Do:
As an Equipment Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in the design, implementation, and commissioning of capital projects at the Charleston, SC facility. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time, delivering real value to the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage project safety during design and construction phases

Oversee or support multiple projects from scope development to commissioning, sometimes across multiple sites

Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to align project goals with business needs

Adhere to and help improve corporate engineering standards

Use engineering tools like FMEA, RIE, TPM, and FAT to support effective project execution

Assist in writing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Standard Work documentation

Help define and maintain critical spare parts for new equipment
-
Serve as an owner’s rep during startup and commissioning of capital projects

Prepare and present clear, accurate reports to internal stakeholders
