As the Hospice Director, your role will involve implementing company policies and mission by ensuring an appropriate number of staff members, meeting established standards and goals, and ensuring the program's long-term financial viability. You will be responsible for overseeing the local program, which includes tasks such as staffing, budgeting, leadership, and marketing supervision.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the overall management of hospice operations.
- Creating an annual budget for the branch and monitoring expenses.
- Analyzing factors affecting gross profit, such as market conditions, business volume, competition, and operational costs.
- Ensuring sustained growth of the branch by expanding the client base, both new and existing.
- Collaborating with a recruiter to attract and recruit branch staff and clinicians.
- Partnering with clinical resources to manage patient intake, inquiries, and assessment of patient needs.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent.
- Possess a minimum of eight years of experience in healthcare administration.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in managing hospice operations.
- Prioritize candidates with previous experience in budget development and monitoring.
- Excellent knowledge of federal and state regulations and administration in the field.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and assert oneself in various situations.
- Local market experience is a PLUS!
