Our client, North Hills Community Outreach, is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join their team as a Non-Profit Executive. Based in Allison Park, PA, this position will play a crucial role in leading and advancing the organization's mission of assisting individuals and families in crisis, hardship, and poverty.
About North Hills Community Outreach:
North Hills Community Outreach (NHCO) is a highly regarded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been serving low-income individuals and families in Northern Allegheny County since 1987. Founded in response to devastating floods in the North Hills, NHCO has expanded its services to meet a range of needs, from disaster relief to essential support such as food, transportation, and self-sufficiency programs. With six offices and a community garden, NHCO operates under the umbrella of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and is recognized as one of the leading human services organizations in Allegheny County.

The Non-Profit Executive will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring the excellence of programs and initiatives, as well as the quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems.
  • Leading and developing the staff, creating a professional and positive workplace culture.
  • Designing and implementing leadership development programs to foster succession planning and a diverse pipeline of qualified leaders.
  • Collaborating with the organization and the Board to establish clear career paths and training opportunities for employees.
  • Managing staff compensation and championing diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to emerging and established leaders.
  • Developing training programs on effective leadership practices.
  • Identifying high-potential employees and creating tailored development plans.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align community efforts with organizational goals.
  • Navigating limited funding constraints and making data-driven decisions.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A track record of success in strategic planning, fundraising, and program development within the non-profit sector.
  • Extensive experience in non-profit management and financial principles.
  • Knowledge of poverty issues and/or experience in promoting food equity (preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and expertise in relationship management.
  • A proven track record in resource development and fundraising from diverse sources.
  • Advanced analytical and financial skills.
  • The ability to articulate and execute strategies aligned with the organization's mission.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
