Location: Nashville, TN

Responsibilities of our Executive Director:

  • Ensuring that the hospice complies with all applicable regulations, laws, policies, and procedures, including those related to Medicare and Medicaid, on a daily basis.
  • Taking responsibility for the daily operations of the agency and ensuring it employs qualified individuals for all staff positions.
  • Being readily available during business hours or by phone when conducting agency business off-site, and being available after hours as needed.
  • Providing oversight to ensure the success of the hospice operations.
  • Offering support and coaching to the hospice team.
  • Conducting interviews and selecting potential employees.
  • Ensuring that all hospice policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicating with patients, patient family members, and physicians regarding patient care.
  • Monitoring hospice census and staffing trends.
  • Maintaining the departmental budget and financials.
  • Overseeing the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.

Requirements for the position:
- A valid RN license in the state.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in a leadership role in a home health organization.
- Strong financial skills, including experience with profit and loss statements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve organizational goals.
- Knowledge of all state and federal regulations related to home health.
