Field Service Coordinator

Job Title: Field Service Coordinator (Transportation Equipment Manufacturing)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Salary: $50-55K plus bonus
 
Job Summary of the Field Service Coordinator: In the role of Field Service Coordinator, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the Field Service Team. Your responsibilities will include managing small service job estimates, following up with customers regarding ongoing quotations and orders, collaborating with the outside sales force to address customer requests, processing purchase orders, job sheets, and customer invoices promptly, maintaining effective communication with Field Service Technicians, customers, and sub-contractors to coordinate service job logistics and schedules, and successfully managing short-term projects. You will closely collaborate with the Service Business Specialist and Field Service Manager to support both current and long-term growth objectives.

Qualifications of the Field Service Coordinator:
o A Bachelor's degree in Business is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Experience in the construction or general contractor field is a valuable asset.
o Direct experience in estimating or bidding for such work is considered advantageous.
o Proficiency in typing a minimum of 50 words per minute with an accuracy rate of at least 90%.
o Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Possess industry background in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, having worked in both field and office settings.
o Familiarity with bidding, quotes, problem-solving, parts ordering, and customer service.
o Experience in deploying field service technicians.
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
o Ability to effectively handle discounts, percentages, proportions, and currency conversion.
o Skilled in reading and analyzing business information.
o Strong presentation and customer service interaction abilities.
Responsibilities of the Field Service Operations Supervisor:
o Provide comprehensive support to the service business and identify opportunities within the Americas region.
o Address day-to-day customer requests by providing price and availability information, and keeping them informed on the status of quotes, orders, and shipments.
o Interact with customers primarily through telephone and email to ascertain product or project specifications pertaining to service capabilities.
o Prepare quotes and offer technical documentation to customers as needed.
o Regularly follow up on active quotations and collaborate with the outside sales team, Market Development Managers, or other stakeholders, as required, to position the company favorably to win business opportunities.
o Maintain accurate and complete customer records in Navpoint during and after customer interactions.
o Develop a strong understanding of products and their applications.
o Collect and record details related to pending, active, and completed service projects and sales orders.
o Coordinate with the Field Service Group, Sales team, customers, etc. to schedule and complete service jobs.
o Contact and email customers as directed for follow-up, lead qualification, prospecting, and other business development activities.
o Travel is limited, but occasional trade show support or visits to customer facilities or job sites may be necessary to support customers, enhance knowledge of applications and markets, and address field issues or product usage.
o Once initial training is completed, this position offers the flexibility of working from home for 2 days a week.
