The position of On-site Technical Support Specialist is available in Ann Arbor, MI. As a Field Service Representative, your responsibilities will include providing on-site service such as preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, and training for all product lines. This role will primarily cover MI and OH, but also includes KY, TN, MO, and KS. While Ann Arbor, MI is the preferred location, other major cities within MI or OH are also eligible.

The salary for this position ranges from $30 to $34 per hour and is dependent on technical and service experience in the analytical instrumentation field. Additionally, our client provides a monthly car allowance and mileage, full benefits, and a profit sharing contribution to your 401k retirement savings. You will also have the opportunity to receive a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years, along with other potential bonus opportunities.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of instruments at customer sites within the designated region.
• Managing inventory, trip planning, and handling administrative tasks related to service functions.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
• The ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in working with electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools.
• An associate's degree in engineering or chemistry, as a minimum requirement.
• Flexibility for frequent overnight travel, which may account for up to 75% of the job.
• A valid driver's license and passport.
