FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (Central California)

**** No Relocation. Can reside anywhere from Stockton CA to Bakersfield CA.
Perform maintenance and repair services on medical laboratory equipment such as hematology, chemistry, and coagulation analyzers for a medical device manufacturer. Experience in Field Service within the Medical Device industry is preferred. The role involves servicing automated robotic lab instruments in the Central California region (CA).
The position requires a strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required.
- Demonstrated experience in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel overnight.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer.
- Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus.
- This job requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on the instrumentation.
- Establish and maintain good customer relations.
- Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
- Maintain inventory of tools and trunk stock (parts) in the company vehicle.
- Provide basic on-site training on the operation of company instrumentation.
