FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (Central California)

**** Relocation not available. Can live anywhere between Bakersfield CA and Stockton CA.
Repair medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc.) for a manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Preferred experience in Field Service within the Medical Device industry. The role entails servicing automated robotic lab instruments in the Central California area. Candidate must have a strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
  • A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required.
  • Extensive experience in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Expected to travel overnight.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a field service engineer.
  • Experience with medical lab analyzers or other medical instruments is a plus.
  • The individual must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for this job.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instruments.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
  • Maintain car inventory, including tools and trunk stock (parts).
  • Provide basic on-site training on company instrumentation operation.
Benefits:
  • Base salary of 75K - 90K depending on experience (overtime & performance bonus may add a minimum of 4K - 8K annually, potentially more).
