FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (Medical)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Technician to service medical instrumentation for our leading manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. This role requires a strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting. Field Service experience in a similar role is essential, and experience servicing Medical Devices is highly preferred. The primary responsibility of this position is to install and service automated robotic medical instrumentation in the greater New York City area.
Salary: Base salary ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 depending on experience, with the potential to earn an additional $4,000 to $8,000 annually through overtime and performance bonuses.
*** Please note: You must currently reside in the greater New York City area, preferably the Bronx, Brooklyn, NYC, or Queens (No Long Island) - NO RELOCATION.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Certificate or AAS Degree: A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Electronics and Electro-mechanical Troubleshooting: Strong experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Occasional Travel: Some overnight travel may be required for this role.
  • Field Service Engineering: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer.
  • Medical Instrumentation Experience: Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be advantageous.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: The individual applying for this role must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Work Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization.
Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Maintenance: Involved in the installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instrumentation.
  • Customer Relations: Establish and maintain good customer relations.
  • Problem Resolution: Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain car inventory, including tools, trunk stock (parts), etc.
  • On-Site Training: Provide basic on-site training regarding the operation of company instrumentation.
