Join our team as a Midwest Field Operations Engineer, working remotely from your home office in either Wisconsin or Minnesota. We are a leading Systems Integrator specializing in municipal and industrial controls and instrumentation systems.

As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to delivering outstanding customer service and support. This position requires 50% travel within the Midwest region.

Qualifications

  • Hold an AS or higher degree in electrical technology, engineering, or be a licensed journeyman electrician.
  • Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in construction and wiring of PLCs, motor control panels, and motor control centers.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking equipment, including switches, patch panels, controllers, and graphical interface equipment.
  • Field experience in industrial control panels, wiring, startup, testing, maintenance, and service.
  • Field experience with instrumentation, such as level, flow, and pressure instruments.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater process control is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the installation of instrumentation equipment, including mounting devices, field wiring terminations, startup, and calibration.
  • Conduct field startup, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial control equipment, including motor starters, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and control panels.
  • Build and wire industrial PLC and motor control panels.
  • Startup and test PLC-based control systems, incorporating industrial networking equipment and PC-based HMI software.
  • Revise and update PLC and HMI programs throughout the startup process.
  • Analyze control circuits, schematics, and line drawings for industrial control equipment.
  • Update schematic drawings following field installation and startup.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while working directly with customers on-site.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple Project Managers on various projects.
  • Create and/or update AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electric drawings.
  • Program HMI devices, including operator interface panels and PC workstations.
  • Program PLCs using Rockwell RSLogix 500 and 5000 software, from inception to completion.
  • Review electrical schematic drawings for quality and accuracy.
