Job Title: On-Site Support Specialist

Location: Boston, MA

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000, with bonus

Job Summary for the On-Site Support Specialist: We are seeking an experienced On-Site Support Specialist who is highly motivated, customer-focused, and possesses excellent technical writing skills. In this role, you will collaborate with the Engineering team to make recommendations for product improvements in the Product Development Group. You will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications of the On-Site Support Specialist:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including international travel
  • Ability to write detailed reports and documentations
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting systems using electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with PLCs is highly desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working at heights

· Experience in working with PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), data acquisition, industrial electricity, and power equipment is required. Familiarity with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platform(s) is highly preferred.

· Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid passport with proper travel documentation for international travel.

Responsibilities of the On-Site Support Specialist:

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and contractors.

· Coordinate and schedule participation of stakeholders during equipment installation and start-up activities.

· Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and technical issues.

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely.

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations.

· Ensure the proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities in various disciplines, maintaining quality standards.

· Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning and conduct equipment demonstrations for customer acceptance.

· Assist the project team in resolving punch-list items as per project requirements.

· Attend project and construction meetings as necessary.

· Deliver technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Provide on-site troubleshooting support and resolution of technical issues.

· Independently coordinate site visits and travel arrangements.

· Offer direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering.
