Job Title: Field Maintenance Specialist

Location: Concord, NH

Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Field Maintenance Specialist: We are seeking a Field Maintenance Specialist with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers. This role involves writing technical reports and collaborating with the Engineering team to provide recommendations for product improvement. The Field Maintenance Specialist is responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems, both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications of the Field Maintenance Specialist:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Field Maintenance role with decision-making responsibility
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time (including domestic and international travel)
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Highly preferred knowledge of PLC's
  • Capability to read, understand, and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment
  • Clean driving record is a must
  • Must not have a fear of heights

· Experience in the use of PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is required. ABB, TMEiC, and Siemens platform(s) experience are highly preferred.

· Must have a valid passport or be able to obtain one with proper documentation for travel into and out of the United States.

Responsibilities of the Field Maintenance Specialist:

· Regularly interact with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors.

· Assist in scheduling and coordinating the participation of stakeholders at the site for equipment installation inspection and start-up activities.

· Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries by coordinating internally.

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both on-site and remotely.

· Repair installed equipment at customer facilities, handling both warranty and non-warranty claims.

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations.

· Take ownership of implementing pre-commissioning activities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines, ensuring quality work and report generation.

· Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning, demonstrating equipment functions as per specifications to obtain customer acceptance.

· Support the project team in clearing and signing-off mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items based on project requirements.

· Participate in project and construction meetings when necessary.

· Prepare and provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Act as a trouble-shooter, analyzing and eliminating faults on-site in the event of technical issues, and providing on-site support to customers for subsequent technical queries.

· Independently coordinate with customers and/or end-users to plan site visits.

· Independently handle all travel arrangements, including airfare, lodging, and ground transportation.

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering for testing and field service activities.
