Job Title: On-Site Repair Specialist

Location: Raleigh, NC

Salary: $65-75K plus incentive

Job Summary of the On-Site Repair Specialist: We are seeking a self-directed On-Site Repair Specialist who excels in customer interactions, possesses strong technical reporting skills, and can contribute to product enhancements by providing feedback to the Engineering team. The On-Site Repair Specialist will be responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications of the On-Site Repair Specialist:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a field service role with decision-making responsibilities
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical fields
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Preferably knowledgeable in PLC's
  • Able to comprehend and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint within a Windows environment
  • Clean driving record
  • Fearlessness of heights

· Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is required. Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platform(s) experience are highly preferred.

· Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport for international travel

Responsibilities of the On-Site Repair Specialist:

· Regular interaction with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors.

· Assist in scheduling and coordinating participation of involved parties at project sites for equipment installation and start-up activities.

· Coordinate internally to ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries.

· Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment onsite and remotely.

· Perform repairs on customer-installed equipment, both warranty and non-warranty claims.

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations.

· Take ownership of pre-commissioning activities, ensuring quality work and report generation in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines.

· Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning and demonstrate equipment functionality to obtain customer acceptance.

· Support the project team in clearing and signing-off mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items as per project requirements.

· Participate in project and construction meetings as necessary.

· Deliver technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Serve as on-site troubleshooter, analyzing and resolving technical issues, and addressing any subsequent questions from customers.

· Independently coordinate site visits with customers and/or end-users before departure.

· Arrange all travel logistics including airfare, lodging, and ground transportation.

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering for testing and field service activities.
