Job Title: On-Site Support Specialist

Location: Raleigh, NC

Salary: $65-75K with bonus potential

Job Summary of the On-Site Support Specialist: Our company is seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented On-Site Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with clients, providing technical assistance and resolving issues related to our products. The On-Site Support Specialist will also collaborate with our Engineering team to offer valuable insights for product enhancements. As an independent professional, you will assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair systems both locally and internationally.

Qualifications of the On-Site Support Specialist:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical support role
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including domestic and international trips
  • Proficiency in writing technical reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems is highly preferred
  • Ability to interpret and troubleshoot complex electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights

· Required experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity. Familiarity with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms is highly desired.

· Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities of the On-Site Support Specialist:

· Maintain regular communication with customers, vendors, and contractors.

· Assist in coordinating the involvement of relevant parties during equipment installation and start-up activities.

· Ensure prompt response to customer inquiries, collaborating with internal teams as needed.

· Perform troubleshooting and repair of PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment onsite and remotely.

· Carry out inspections of existing system installations.

· Take responsibility for executing pre-commissioning activities, ensuring accurate reporting.

· Travel to customer sites for final commissioning of equipment and demonstrate proper functionality.

· Support project teams in addressing mechanical, electrical, and automation punch list items.

· Participate in project and construction meetings as required.

· Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Act as an on-site troubleshooter for technical issues, resolving faults and addressing customer queries.

· Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements.

· Provide direct technical support for testing and field service activities.
