Financial Business Analyst

Location: Lancaster, PA

The position of Financial Analyst is available at our Lancaster, PA location. As the Finance Business & Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting crucial business analysis and financial planning for our plant and business operations. Your analysis should be accurate and timely, providing viable options and taking into account key business and financial decisions.


In this role, you will be in charge of preparing monthly journal entries based on worksheets, maintaining daily records for inventory elements, and performing monthly reconciliations related to inventory and cost accounting. Additionally, you will actively participate in executing and reporting progress against both tactical and strategic plans for the operation, including financial and non-financial metrics.

  • Assist in developing the monthly forecast and annual operating plan for the location.
  • Provide financial analysis and alternatives to the marketing team for setting prices and achieving the most profitable product mix.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial and cost control systems.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation between Oracle and the AS400 system, preparing adjusting journal entries for the general ledger.
  • Support the preparation of the company's Self-Assessment Tool.
  • Conduct metal receiving functions and maintain accurate daily records for all metal receipts, reconciling the activity with inventory reporting and billings.
  • Participate in the budgeting and reporting process.
  • Assist with the accounting and management of fixed assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Proficiency in software programs such as Word, Excel, and Access, as well as practical knowledge of calculators.
  • Understanding of computerized reporting systems, query tools, and internal control.
