A dynamic and growing company is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join their team. The main focus of this role is to analyze financial statements and produce reports that drive business decision-making. The role will be based in Morgantown, WV.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile and prepare financial statements in line with US GAAP guidelines.
• Assist with the closing processes at the end of each month, quarter, and year.
• Analyze financial data to spot trends and variances, and create detailed variance reports.
• Liaise with the external audit team to ensure accurate financial statement preparation.
• Contribute to the development of budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain meticulous and precise general ledger records.
• Efficiently resolve accounting issues through thorough research.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a sharp eye for detail and precision.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Show exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills, enabling professional interactions with employees, contractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Must be capable of performing light physical tasks, including exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and completing repetitive activities that require manual dexterity and visual acuity.
