Financial Reporting Analyst - Oil and Gas

A growing company is seeking a talented and detail-driven Financial Reporting Analyst to join its team. In this pivotal role, you’ll support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, delivering insights that inform key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements in compliance with US GAAP

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances; prepare detailed variance reports

• Coordinate with external auditors during financial statement audits

• Support the development of budgets and forecasts

• Maintain accurate general ledger records

• Research and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting

• Stay informed on industry trends and financial reporting best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years of financial reporting experience; Oil & Gas industry experience preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

• Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels

• Must be able to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 15 pounds and repetitive manual tasks requiring dexterity and visual focus
