Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 law firm renowned for its expertise in financial restructuring, seeks a skilled and driven Associate Counsel to join their esteemed Financial Restructuring & Reorganization team. This opportunity is offered in either their Atlanta or New York office.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate:

• The candidate should possess a JD from a top-tier law school with exceptional academic performance.
• Active membership in the Georgia or New York bar is required.
• Having 2-4 years of hands-on experience in business reorganization, restructuring, litigation related to bankruptcy, and bankruptcy law is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to handle intricate legal matters pertaining to financial restructuring.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients involved in business reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
• Take charge of all aspects of bankruptcy-related litigation, including devising strategies, managing cases, and engaging in negotiations.
• Draft and review restructuring documents such as reorganization plans and disclosure statements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary legal teams to offer strategic guidance to clients navigating financial hardships.
• Assist in resolving critical financial challenges by working closely with creditors, debtors, and stakeholders.
