- Minimum of one year of experience in manual machining using X, Y, Z, W, and B axes on horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathes, and one year of experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings
- At least three years of job shop setup experience
- Working hours are Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Compensation ranges from $16 to $38 per hour, depending on experience, with potential overtime on Fridays
- Candidates must be either United States citizens or Green Card holders
- No remote work opportunities available
- This is a full-time position

We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time role as a Vertical Turret Lathe and Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist at a specialized, custom machine manufacturing company. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a wide range of products and customized machinery, ensuring that there is never a dull moment. Our products have a significant impact on our customers, and we prioritize employee support and growth. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays
- Reading and comprehending engineering drawings
- Setting up and operating manual horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathes
- Utilizing X, Y, Z, W, and B axes for machining activities
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in job shop setup
- At least one year of experience operating horizontal boring mills using X, Y, Z, W, and B axes
- One or more years of experience with vertical turret lathes
- Experience machining parts weighing between one to twenty tons
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Demonstrated stability in previous employment
- Must be a US citizen or a Green Card holder
- Residence within a 45-minute commute is required
