Floating Field Support Engineer (Refer job description for locations)

Repair and maintain medical laboratory equipment (including hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc.) for a leading manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Previous experience in Field Service within the Medical Device industry is highly desirable. Your focus will be on servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation.
** No Relocation. This role is available in the following locations: WASHINGTON DC, ATLANTA GA,
DETROIT MI, or CHARLOTTE NC.
Requirements:
- A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is necessary.
- Demonstrated experience in electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting is essential.
- Frequent overnight travel will be required.
- At least 3 years of experience as a field service engineer is required.
- Experience with medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus.
- All candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instrumentation.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Coordinating problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
- Managing car inventory, including tools and trunk stock (parts).
- Providing on-site training on the operation of company instrumentation.
