Foodservice Distributor Sales Manager – Northeast

We are currently seeking a talented Northeastern Foodservice Distributor Sales Manager for our Boston, MA location.

Our company specializes in providing top-quality, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. We sell our products through distributors to various sectors including foodservice, hospitality, food manufacturers, and consumers.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for managing the Northeast territory.

Develop and maintain relationships with existing food distributors in the territory.

Supervise a team of 1 Sales Representative.

Identify and pursue revenue-generating opportunities with distributor accounts. Explore new business prospects in the territory by leveraging sales reporting, online research, event leads, and other available resources. Ensure all customer interactions are accurately captured in Salesforce.

Collaborate with the Director of Sales to review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales for the region. Provide input on the annual budget for the territory. Develop communication strategies to address operational support requirements. Oversee the development of relationships with regional manufacturers.

Approximately 50% travel is required, with convenient access to major airports.

Qualifications:

Ideally, you will possess a BA/BS degree.

You should have at least 2 years of experience in sales to foodservice distributors.

Previous supervisory experience of at least 1 year is preferred.

Strong sales and account management skills are required.

Excellent negotiation skills, along with strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.

Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work within approved budgets.

Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce.com or a similar system is desired.

Proficiency in MS Suite is a must.

In return, we offer a base salary of $80K plus a 20% bi-annual bonus. We also provide 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, an EAP program, 401K, profit sharing of approximately 12% to 15% annually, 11 paid holidays, vacation time, a company laptop with docking station, a cell phone, and a company credit card. Mileage reimbursement is included as well.
