Foodservice Distributor Sales Manager – Northeast
Location: Northeast Sales Manager - New York, NY
We are a premier distributor offering a diverse range of all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are sold through distributors to various sectors including foodservice, hospitality, food manufacturers, and consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the Northeast territory.
Develop and manage relationships with existing and new food distributors within the territory.
Supervise a team consisting of 1 Sales Representative.
Identify opportunities to generate revenue through distributor accounts. Expand business in the territory by identifying new distributors using sales reporting, online research, event leads, and other resources. Ensure customer engagement is documented using Salesforce.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales in the region. Provide input for the annual budget of the territory. Develop communication strategies to address operational support needs. Oversee the development of regional manufacturer leads.
Approximately 50% travel required, with access to nearby airports.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate holds a BA/BS degree.
Minimum 2 years of sales experience within the foodservice distributor industry.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Well-developed sales and account management skills.
Strong negotiation skills and proficient in organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and working within approved budgets.
Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce.com or equivalent.
Proficient in the use of MS Suite.
Compensation Package:
The base salary is $80K with a 20% bi-annual bonus structure. The company offers comprehensive benefits, including 100% coverage for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Additional benefits include EAP program, 401K with profit sharing of approximately 12% to 15% annually, 11 paid holidays, vacation time, company-provided laptop, docking station, cell phone, and company credit card. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
