Forensic Electrical Engineer
Position Overview
This role involves conducting and overseeing investigations and assessments related to machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for examining and assessing the damage of mechanical equipment, conducting root cause failure analysis, evaluating properties related to mechanics, corrosion, and metallurgy, and analyzing the cost of repairs and replacements. Additionally, you will be expected to interact with clients and other consultants, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prepare comprehensive written reports summarizing your findings and analyses.
Technical Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in a Southeastern state or able to obtain licensure within 6 months
- Experience working with Solar Power Systems is highly desired
- Previous experience in Forensic Investigation and Reporting (3+ years) is a definite plus!
- Expertise in giving legal depositions and acting as an Expert Witness is highly valued
- Advanced technical education degrees are an advantage
- Proficiency in computer software such as MathCAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Prior experience in industrial/manufacturing/design settings
