FPGA Design Engineer – TS/SCI w/ FS Poly Clearance Required

Location: Fort George G Meade, MD
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join our team in Lovettsville, VA. As part of our mission-oriented environment, you will work on-site and collaborate with multiple teams throughout the design process. We need a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills to conceptualize, document, design, and verify ASIC, FPGA, and embedded firmware designs. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to lead a small team and mentor others while staying adaptable and customer-oriented.
● Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) is required.
● Experience in designing and testing integrated circuits and hardware components for various applications and research.
● Proficiency in coding firmware for hardware devices like ASIC and FPGA.
● Ability to analyze existing integrated circuits and hardware components for reverse engineering purposes.
● Capability to modify and adapt vendor-manufactured hardware to meet specific needs and contingencies.
● Aid in the design of new products and processes while improving and maintaining existing products.
● Coordinate with other engineering personnel to ensure project completion and interrelated design.
● Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
● Familiarity with HDL simulators such as QuestaSim, ModelSim, Incisive, or other industry standard simulators.
● Onsite location at Fort Meade, MD.
We have multiple openings for Junior, Senior, Principal, and Sr. Principal Engineers. A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Design Engineer in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering is required. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is also required. However, five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience can substitute a bachelor's degree.
