We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1st Shift FSQA Supervisor to join our team at our Bridgewater, VA plant. As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and implementing programs and procedures to ensure that our company complies with all regulatory and food safety requirements.

• Effectively managing and maintaining the SSOP and HACCP and other prerequisite programs in an organized manner.

• Conducting audits of all SSOP and HACCP records and providing valuable feedback to the management team.

• Building and nurturing a positive relationship with the USDA and staying updated with the latest regulations pertaining to SSOP and HACCP programs.

• Providing comprehensive training and documentation of training for all plant associates regarding SSOP and HACCP programs.

• Taking a hands-on approach to resolving any food safety issues that may arise during your shift, developing suitable solutions, and implementing effective corrective actions/preventative measures.

• Performing validations of scientific data to support food safety decisions at the facility on an annual basis.

Requirements: To be eligible for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Operations Management, Biology, or Chemistry, along with 2-3 years of experience in FSQA within the food industry. You should also have:

• HACCP certification or a willingness to obtain one.

• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience (preferably 2 years).

• Familiarity with HACCP and SSOP requirements, including experience in monitoring and implementing validation processes.

• Knowledge of USDA regulations, including GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and labeling.

• Experience conducting food safety audits in a plant-style setting.
