FSQA Supervisor

Location: Mount Vernon, WA

A highly regarded poultry processor is seeking a Quality Assurance/ Food Safety Supervisor for a processing plant located in Mount Vernon, WA. This position:

· Will lead the continuous development and implementation of the SSOP and HACCP plans to meet USDA regulations and ensure food safety meets both company and customer expectations.

· Will monitor and verify production SSOP and HACCP records.

· Will ensure daily adherence to plant GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other prerequisite programs.

· Will proactively identify and address problems by utilizing SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools or other tracking/trending analysis skills.

· Will conduct audits of SSOP and HACCP records and provide timely feedback to management.

· Will maintain a positive relationship with the USDA and remain up-to-date with regulations regarding SSOP and HACCP programs.

· Will be responsible for training and documenting the training of all plant associates on SSOP and HACCP programs.

· Will conduct yearly validations of scientific data supporting food safety decisions at the facility.

This position requires hands-on involvement in resolving any food safety issues that arise during the shift, as well as developing appropriate solutions and implementing corrective actions/preventive measures.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in fields of study such as Food Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Operations Management, Biology, or Chemistry. Additionally, the successful candidate should also have:

· 1-3 years of relevant experience.

· HACCP certification.

· Knowledge of USDA regulations including GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and labeling.

· Experience with plant-style food safety audits.
