Geotechnical Engineer - Construction Materials Testing Project Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field testing and inspection of various construction materials, including concrete, soil, asphalt, and mix designs, in compliance with ASTM procedures.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Project Manager for CMT on construction projects in the Charlotte area.
• Manage and coordinate various expertise in concrete, soil, and asphalt materials testing programs and investigations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of masonry and asphalt laboratory testing procedures.
• Provide support to project managers, technicians, and engineers on assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Must possess an NC EIT or PE License.
• Have a minimum of 2-8+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a quick learning ability, perseverance, high energy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Possess good organizational and communication skills.
• Show strong leadership qualities.
• Please note that this role involves a significant amount of field inspection and testing work. It is not a desk job.
