As an integral part of our client’s long-term financial strategy for expanding their Employee Benefits division, this position entails developing and overseeing a designated geographic region. The individual in this position will be responsible for forming valuable business relationships with brokers and other influential entities to expand the distribution of Employee Benefits products and services.
You will have the task of driving and overseeing sales activity in the East Coast territory, covering PA, CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, RI, VA, VT, and Washington DC.
Primary Responsibilities:
Establishing and maintaining Key Broker Relationships
Build Brand – maintaining a robust and prominent presence in the assigned territory
Developing a substantial sales pipeline
Securing new Employee Benefit Business
Generate fresh opportunities and guide them from prospect to accomplished deal
Attain activity and assigned revenue targets
Conducting sales and product seminars as required.
Manage assigned territory to achieve desired net quote activity levels that align with selling objectives
Utilize Group Market Share, MiEdge, and Salesforce data effectively to expand market presence and boost sales production.
Develop a plan to achieve case activity targets that align with the core strategy.
Job Requirements
Established existing relationships with brokers and expertise in LTD, STD, and Group Life products.
Deliver results within the assigned territory and achieve satisfactory sales outcomes and submissions of client’s products.
Outstanding ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal colleagues, peers, and management, as well as external clients
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
Advanced proficiency in developing strategies and business plans and effectively delivering on established objectives
Excellent presentation and consultative selling skills
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with targeted prospects
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Life and Health license
Minimum of two to four years of experience in Sales of Employment Benefits
