About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Employee Benefits team in a sales role. In this position, you will have the opportunity to drive expansion and growth in our client’s business. If you are someone who enjoys building and growing a territory to make a significant impact, this position is perfect for you. As part of our client’s long-term growth strategy in Employee Benefits, you will be responsible for developing and managing a specific geographic territory. Your main objective will be to establish and foster strong relationships with brokers and other influential individuals in order to expand the distribution of our Employee Benefits products and services.

Your primary focus will be on driving and managing sales activities in the Missouri territory.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain key broker relationships

  • Build brand awareness and maintain a strong presence in the assigned territory

  • Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities

  • Close Employee Benefits deals

  • Identify and generate new prospects and guide them towards closure

  • Achieve assigned revenue targets and activity goals

  • Conduct sales and product seminars when necessary

  • Manage the assigned territory to meet selling objectives

  • Utilize Group Market Share, MiEdge, and Salesforce data effectively to expand market presence and increase sales

  • Develop and implement a plan to achieve case activity targets aligned with the core strategy

Job Requirements:

  • Established broker relationships with experience in LTD, STD, and Group Life

  • Proven track record of producing results within the assigned territory

  • Exceptional skill in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach

  • Advanced ability to develop strategies, create business plans, and achieve objectives

  • Outstanding presentation and consultative selling skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with potential clients

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Life and Health license

  • Minimum of two to four years of Employment Benefit Sales experience
