Employee Benefits Sales Representative - Mid-Atlantic Area (Richmond, VA)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our expanding Employee Benefits team in the Mid-Atlantic area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish and develop a territory, contributing to the growth and success of our organization. Key responsibilities include building relationships with brokers and other influencers to expand the distribution of our Employee Benefits products and services.

As an Employee Benefits Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving and managing sales activity in the Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland region.

Primary Responsibilities:

Cultivate and maintain strong broker relationships

Enhance brand visibility in the assigned territory

Develop a robust pipeline of potential business

Close deals to generate Employee Benefits business

Guide prospects through the sales process from initial contact to closure

Achieve assigned revenue targets and activity goals

Conduct sales presentations and product seminars as needed

Manage territory to meet selling objectives

Utilize market data effectively to expand market presence and drive sales

Develop a strategic plan to achieve case activity targets aligned with our core strategy

Requirements:

Established broker relationships with experience in LTD, STD, and Group Life

Proven track record of successful sales results and client product submissions

Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Collaborative style and strong interpersonal skills

Advanced strategic planning and execution abilities

Outstanding presentation and consultative selling skills

Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with potential clients

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Life and Health license

Minimum of two to four years of Employment Benefit Sales experience
