Hardware Engineer (LR-22904)


Job Title: Embedded Systems Engineer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and extract requirements from customer and company (IRAD) requests
  • Develop detailed requirements for subassemblies, vendors, and other departments
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to electrical, software, hardware, and mechanical engineers
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system level documentation, including block diagrams, acceptance test procedures, interface documents, analysis reports, and user manuals
  • Conduct system integration and testing in the lab, configuring test setups and utilizing electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, programmable sources and loads, etc.)
  • Perform system level acceptance tests in the lab, third-party test houses, and/or at customer sites
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Systems Engineer and the Director of Engineering to ensure system design aligns with project architecture
  • Support technical reviews by preparing presentation slides and participating in meetings (Kick Off Meeting, Systems Requirements Review, System Design Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Prototype Manufacturing Readiness Review, Test Readiness Review, and Production Readiness Review)
  • Effectively communicate issues and propose solutions to internal and external stakeholders


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Preferably 5 - 10 years of experience in a highly technical research and development, engineering, or manufacturing environment
  • Proven expertise in the development and analysis of engineering applications (electrical, mechanical, hardware, firmware, software, etc.)
  • Experience working with electrical test equipment such as AC/DC sources, signal generators, programmable loads, oscilloscopes, power meters, and multimeters
  • At least 3-5 years of exposure to leading technical projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in fulfilling customer requirements and company objectives
  • Skilled in customer interfacing and building relationships based on technical understanding and mission objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, and Project)
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering is a plus
  • Background collaborating with various disciplines such as electronics, mechanical, software, and management
  • Experience in imaging processing, power management, aerospace, defense, or medical product development
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or equivalent technical field (electrical engineering, computer science, applied physics, or applied mathematics)
