YOUR ROLE:
As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, including managing field and subcontractor personnel, to ensure the timely and budget-compliant completion of projects. This involves maintaining the highest standard of quality, coordinating trade and field teams, and enforcing proper construction safety practices. You will also be in charge of maintaining the job site office and overseeing project closeouts.
- Coordinate and supervise construction operations
- Ensure on-schedule and within-budget project completion with adherence to original plans and specifications, including any changes
- Create and manage construction schedules, addressing any issues that may arise
- Arrange for material procurement and inspections as required
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of project plans and specifications
- Cultivate positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
- Prepare daily and safety reports, schedules, and supervise final punch lists
- Promote job site safety and address hazards promptly
- Ensure compliance with company safety policy and regulations, including storm-water compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, including the construction office
- Conduct weekly progress meetings involving all trades
- Review job cost reports and assist Project Manager in maintaining budget control
- Provide feedback on subcontractor scopes of work prior to contract award
- Develop staging plans and manage site logistics
- Collaborate with Project Manager to schedule critical craft pre-construction meetings
- Review and provide feedback on submittals for compliance and coordination
- Ensure the delivery of quality workmanship by crafts, suppliers, employees, and contractors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in heavy commercial or industrial construction
- Proficient in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production across all construction phases
- Experience with Precast, tilt, etc.
- This role involves state-wide travel
