Area Executive Director - Hospice
Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the hospice programs in the Houston and surrounding areas. You will provide guidance and mentorship to site-level leaders, oversee staffing and hiring, manage budgets, provide leadership and marketing oversight. Your main responsibilities will include implementing company policies and mission, maintaining and meeting set standards and goals, and ensuring the long-term fiscal viability of multiple hospice programs.
As the Area Executive Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and supporting the management of each hospice program at the site level.
- Developing annual branch budgets and monitoring expenditures.
- Conducting analysis of gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition, and operational costs.
- Ensuring continued branch growth, delivery of quality patient care, staff and client satisfaction, and maintaining the fiscal viability of each agency by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Local candidates only, with current leadership experience in hospice or home health and exceptional knowledge of the local market.
- Prior experience in multi-site hospice or home health leadership is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least eight (8) years of experience in healthcare administration.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hospice operations management.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in multi-site hospice or home health leadership.
- Experience in budget development, monitoring KPIs and metrics, and budgetary responsibilities.
- Thorough understanding of federal and state regulations and administration in the healthcare industry.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills.
