HR Generalist – 3rd Shift

Location: Rockingham, NC

Night Shift HR Generalist in Rockingham, NC

Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field is necessary. Additionally, the individual should possess 3-5 years of experience. It is also important to have:

  • Proven track record in writing, updating, and auditing Affirmative Action Plans
  • Thorough understanding of I-9 requirements
  • Experience in ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP regulations, and current law
  • Previous involvement in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred); demonstrated proficiency in resolving issues related to automated timekeeping systems. Familiarity with a company timekeeping system, such as Kronos
  • Prior experience in conducting new associate orientations
  • Commitment to team performance, effective coaching, and strong teamwork skills

This position entails being responsible and accountable for developing collaborative relationships with managers, supervisors, and hourly production associates in the processing plant, with the aim of promoting cooperative progress. Other specific responsibilities include:

  • Resolving workplace conflicts effectively and providing coaching and guidance to supervisors on methods to improve absenteeism, turnover, and plant efficiencies
  • Ensuring new hires receive a comprehensive and timely orientation using the company-approved format and materials. Scheduling, conducting, facilitating, auditing, and identifying new ways to enhance the new hire orientation process
  • Coaching and counseling supervisory personnel to enhance their ability to effectively manage their workforce
  • Assisting both hourly and salaried personnel in conflict resolution and ensuring consistent application of policies in issue resolution. Delivering training to supervisors on policies and procedures
  • Overseeing the Peer Review/Management Review process
  • Identifying, designing, training, implementing, and auditing new strategies to reduce turnover
