HVAC Systems Engineer with a Wisconsin PE or DE License

  • A valid State of Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems (DE) license is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in large commercial building HVAC engineering design
  • Competitive salary up to $150,000, commensurate with experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for a full-time, permanent HVAC Systems Engineer to join a rapidly expanding company specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems serving a range of industries. Located just northeast of Madison, we are focused on maintaining our reputation for excellence, meeting rising demand, and providing our employees with stimulating, varied projects to keep them engaged.
We are proud to promote from within, and for the right candidate, there may be future opportunities to lead our design division within five years.
The successful candidate will enjoy a flexible work schedule, with an average of 50 hours per week. In addition to designing HVAC systems using Revit or CAD software, engineers will have the opportunity to witness the manufacturing, installation, and operation of their designs.
The role may progress into a management position within the division within four to five years. Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Designing large-scale commercial HVAC systems using Revit or CAD
  • Managing HVAC projects from start to finish
  • Calculating building load
  • Developing installation plans
  • Selecting appropriate HVAC equipment
  • Ensuring proper sizing
  • Obtaining necessary permits
  • Collaborating with diverse stakeholders

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid Wisconsin Professional Engineer license or a Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems license
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in large commercial building HVAC engineering design
  • A genuine passion for engineering
  • A consistent and impressive work history
  • US citizenship or permanent residency (green card holder)
  • A residence within a 45-minute commuting distance
