Salary Range: $205,000 - $250,000 per year + Bonus + Relocation Assistance
$20,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee our Critical Care Unit. In this role, you will manage a 24-hour department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective patient care services. You will establish and maintain clinical standards of care and practice, develop and monitor the department's budget, and oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the operations of our Critical Care Unit, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality care standards.
- Establish and maintain patient care and service standards to meet the expectations of our members and clients.
- Design and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care outcomes across the continuum of care.
- Develop and monitor departmental budgets, identifying strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care/services.
- Recruit, train, and maintain the competency of department staff, ensuring ongoing staff development.
- Implement and monitor departmental policies and procedures, aligning them with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee and develop standards of care and practice, fiscal management, and quality improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant specialty, including four (4) years of management, supervisory, or leadership* experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing earned through a direct entry MSN program.
- Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- ACLS or PALS certification may be required for specific department positions.
- National Certification preferred within 1 year of hire.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of management experience preferred.
- One (1) year of Magnet/shared governance experience preferred.
- One (1) year of managing in a bargaining environment preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
