Senior I&E Designer

We are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our team at our Sugar Land, TX office.

Job Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in Instrument & Control System Design for Oil and Gas Refineries and Chemical Plants. Proficiency in 2D AUTOCAD, EXCEL – MicroStation, CADWORX, BlueBeam, ACCESS is desired.

Key Qualifications:

The ability to effectively collaborate as part of a team and adhere to all client and Company Safety Policies are essential.


Proven ability in design, time management, team coordination, quality control, and technical direction of design teams.

Expertise in detailed design, including redlining and reviewing P&IDs, revising interlock schematics/motor schematics, creating wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, demo packages, I/O loading, junction boxes, marshalling panels, and DCS/PLC cabinets with BOM.

Ability to create Instrument Installation Details, generate material take-offs, create conduit and cable tray drawings, and perform sizing calculations based on applicable codes and client standards.

Proven design ability in Electrical low voltage applications, including power supply to instruments and instrument power panels, and knowledge of grounding/bonding as per NEC guidelines.

Demonstrated experience in field survey, planning/execution of hot/cold cutovers, and strong client interface skills with accountability for work product deliverables.

Fiber experience with routing and general knowledge is required.
