Imaging Service Specialist III

We are hiring a Senior Imaging Technician in Chattanooga, TN.

We are looking for an experienced Imaging Service Specialist with at least 3 years of experience in servicing various medical imaging equipment. The candidate should have expertise in handling general X-ray, Ultrasound, and advanced modalities including Cardiac Cath, Vascular Lab, CT, MRI, and PACS. A valid US driver's license and eligibility to work in the US without Visa sponsorship are mandatory.

Job Summary:
As a Senior Imaging Technician, you will be responsible for providing prompt response and comprehensive service activities on a wide range of diagnostic imaging equipment, with a focus on Radiology, Ultrasound, and advanced modalities such as Cardiac Cath, Vascular Lab, CT, MRI, and PACS.

Education:
Required:
- Completion of an Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or equivalent Military or work experience.
- Attainment of X-Ray Phase I, II, III, & IV certifications offered by RSTI or equivalent.
- Completion of modality-specific training (CT, Vascular Lab, MRI, etc.) in diagnostic X-Ray equipment provided by various manufacturers.

Preferred: Candidates with a Bachelor of Science degree will be given preference.

Experience Required:
Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Service Specialist II or in a similar field service role dealing with a wide range of imaging equipment. Minimum of two (2) years experience supporting one or more of the following modalities: CT, Cath Lab, Vascular Lab, MRI, PACS.

License/Certification/Registration
Required: Valid driver's license.

Preferred:
- Certification by the ICC as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
- A+ certification
- CRES Certification

Summary
As a Senior Imaging Technician, you will be responsible for providing timely response and comprehensive service on a wide range of diagnostic imaging equipment, including Radiology, Ultrasound, and advanced modalities such as Cardiac Cath, Vascular Lab, CT, MRI, and PACS. Occasional support for equipment in Radiation Oncology may be required. The service activities provided by the Senior Technician will involve moderately to highly complex troubleshooting and repair tasks.

You will support the overall goals and objectives of the Technology Management organization, along with the continuous quality improvement (CQI) goals and programs pursued by the diagnostic imaging and other supported departments. Key responsibilities will include:
- Performing maintenance, repair, and calibration of hospital diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Documenting preventative maintenance, repairs, and work activities to meet JCAHO/DNV requirements and departmental business needs.
- Providing technical support for computerized diagnostic imaging equipment and associated networks.
- Coordinating vendor repairs and documenting vendor activities according to departmental practices.
- Assisting in the investigation of incident reports regarding equipment in the area of responsibility.
- Instructing other staff members in the maintenance and repair of complex medical and/or communication systems.
- Developing and delivering in-service educational programs for hospital personnel.
- Receiving general supervision.
