Information Technology Helpdesk Technicain

We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team at our Florence, AL location. The ideal candidate for this position will have the necessary qualifications and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where they will be responsible for developing solutions and maintaining optimal efficiency of all assigned systems.

Requirements:

An Associates Degree in a Technical Discipline is required, although relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience providing Help Desk Support for Information Technology Systems and Applications.

Skills Needed:

The ideal candidate will be innovative, positive, proactive, and readily embrace change.

Proven experience in building and troubleshooting end-user computer systems is required.

Candidates must also have proven experience with troubleshooting and installing Microsoft Office.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 is required.

Experience with the installation and troubleshooting of desktop applications such as Adobe is preferred.

Candidates must have experience working with a Helpdesk ticketing system.

Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day support, administration, and problem resolution of user computer systems and desktop applications.

They will also plan, prioritize, and execute activities associated with incoming requests for support through the IT Helpdesk system.

In addition, the IT Support Specialist will maintain printers and peripheral computer equipment.

There may be periodic travel required to other offices to provide Helpdesk support.

Candidates must be able to acquire hardware and software as required to meet business requirements.

They will interact with business representatives to maintain alignment of Information Technology with business requirements.

The IT Support Specialist will also attend meetings and report activity progress within the IT infrastructure organization.

They must stay current and up-to-date with computer operating system releases and desktop application versions.

The IT Support Specialist will recommend corrections for issues occurring on a repetitive basis.

Candidates must provide courteous, complete, and timely support for end users and must excel at working within a team environment and alongside external partners.
