Inpatient Psychiatrist

Our client is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Inpatient Physician to join their expanding team. As a Psychiatric Inpatient Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch psychiatric care to patients who are admitted. Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, with some flexibility

No on-call required


  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health, including their medical history, current symptoms, and psychosocial factors
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans, incorporating various therapeutic techniques such as medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and holistic care to patients
  • Monitor patients' progress during their inpatient stay and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Educate and guide patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Accurately and promptly document all clinical activities, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in the field of psychiatry
  • Supervision is available but not mandatory
  • On-call coverage is available for an additional stipend but not required


  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and a valid license to practice psychiatry
  • Completion of psychiatry residency training from an accredited program
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
  • Ohio state license to practice or a strong interest in obtaining one
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating various psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a diverse patient population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish therapeutic relationships with patients from different backgrounds
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
