Inpatient Psychiatrist

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team as an Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric care to patients who are admitted to our facility. Employment Status: Full-time, W2

Working Hours:

Flexible schedule with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

No on-call duties required


  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status, including medical history, symptoms, and psychosocial factors
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate various therapeutic methods, such as medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
  • Monitor patients' progress throughout their inpatient stay and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to promote effective communication and continuity of care
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of psychiatry
  • Supervision is available but not required
  • On-call coverage is optional and comes with an additional stipend


  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with a valid license to practice psychiatry
  • Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
  • Licensed or willing to obtain licensure in the state of OK
  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating various psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a diverse patient population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish therapeutic relationships with patients from different backgrounds
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
